Satelit Korsel Capai Orbit dan Langsung Kirim Data

Roket Korsel yang berhasil diluncurkan

Astronesia-Satelit yang dibawa oleh sebuah roket yang diluncurkan Korea Selatan (Korsel)  Rabu 30 Januari kemarin dilaporkan berhasil mencapai orbitnya dan berfungsi dengan baik. Pihak Korsel menyatakan satelit tersebut telah mengirimkan sinyal datanya ke pusat kendali.

Keberhasilan program satelit Korsel tentunya hal yang melegakan bagi pemerintah dan juga warga negara ginseng tersebut. Bulan lalu, Korea Utara (Korut) mengklaim berhasil melakukan uji coba roket untuk membawa satelitnya ke orbit.

Uji coba roket yang kemarin dilakukan Korsel itu sendiri merupakan uji coba yang ketiga kalinya dilakukan oleh negara tersebut. Sebelumnya Korsel sempat melakukan uji coba roket pada tahun 2009 dan 2010 namun keduanya dicap gagal.

“Saya bangga akhirnya Korea Selatan dapat meluncurkan satelitnya sendiri,” ujar seorang warga di Kota Seoul, Hyun Day-sun, seperti dikutip Associated Press, Kamis (31/1/2013).

Acara peluncuran roket itu memang disiarkan secara luas di berbagai penjuru Korsel. Para warga pun bersorak gembira ketika pemerintah menginformasikan bahwa uji coba roke yang dilakukan negaranya berlangsung sukses.

Amerika Serikat (AS) menyatakan, uji coba roket yang dilakukan Korsel berbeda dengan Korut. AS menyebutkan selama ini Korsel melakukan program roketnya secara bertanggung jawab sedangkan program roket Korut adalah bagian dari ambisinya untuk memiliki senjata nuklir.

“Korut tidak perlu melihat program roket Korsel sebagai ancaman karena mereka mengembangkan program roket secara transparan. Seharusnya Korut dapat mencontoh Korsel dan membuka program roketnya pada komunitas internasional,” terang juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri AS Victoria Nuland.
